AKS Multi Spring System M.S.S.

The AKS Multi Spring System M.S.S. is a high-quality recoil spring system with three spring sets: soft, medium and hard. It replaces the original buffer and recoil spring and serves as a drop-in upgrade for MIL-SPEC AR-15 carbine buffers and the MR-223 weapon system.

The use of two recoil springs in series provides a particularly smooth and linear spring rate. At the same time, increased spring force is available when the bolt is in the closed position, supporting reliable feeding and locking. The maximum required operating force is not increased, providing smooth and easy charging as well as additional functional reserves.

The two additional spring sets allow the system to be individually tuned to the firearm, ammunition and any suppressor being used. Compared to the standard spring set, they are approximately 20% stronger and 20% weaker, respectively.

The M.S.S. is manufactured from high-quality corrosion-resistant stainless steel, providing excellent durability and long-term reliability.
