FX DRS – slim PCP air rifle in 5.5mm caliber with STX liner and AMP MKII regulator, available in five stock variants. Back to the FX Airguns overview.

FX DRS – Premium PCP Technology in a Slim Hunting Rifle Design

With the FX DRS, Swedish manufacturer FX Airguns redefines the standard for modern air rifles. Its unique design combines the slim look of a classic hunting rifle with the high-precision technology of a premium PCP system. Thanks to the unique air cartridge built around the barrel, the DRS stays visually elegant, excellently balanced, and easy to handle – ideal for training, recreation, or precision shooting.

Maximum Precision Through FX Technology

Inside, the proven STX (Smooth Twist X) liner technology delivers outstanding shot consistency. The AMP MKII regulator guarantees even pressure and a constant muzzle velocity for precise hits even at longer distances. Thanks to the sidelever repeating system and an easy-to-load mini magazine, reloading stays fast, intuitive, and reliable. All DRS models share the same technical base: 5.5mm (.22) caliber, max. 7.5 joules, 500mm STX barrel, 14-shot rotary magazine, 1/2" UNF silencer thread, and max. 230 bar fill pressure.

Five Stock Variants for Every Need

The DRS Classic Synthetic comes with a weather-resistant soft-touch synthetic stock, is ambidextrous, and weighs 2.2kg at 92.7cm overall length. The DRS Classic Walnut Grade 2 carries an Italian-made Minelli walnut stock with striking grain and a rosewood forend tip. The DRS Saber Tactical (in bronze and grey) transforms the DRS with a Saber Tactical aluminium 6061 T6 chassis into a tactical precision rifle with Arca/Picatinny rails, M-LOK slots, an adjustable cheek piece, and an integrated bubble level. The DRS Tactical forgoes a fixed stock in favour of a mil-spec buffer tube mount for AR15-compatible stocks, combined with a full-length Picatinny rail and ARCA base on the underside – compact at just 66.3cm length and 2.3kg weight.

What's Included

Classic models: 1x DRS, 1x magazine, 1x case, 1x fill adapter, 1x export kit, 1x manual. Saber Tactical and DRS Tactical: identical scope, though shipped without a case (padded box) or with a case depending on variant.

Matching Accessories

As a replacement or spare magazine, the FX DRS magazine (14 shots, 5.5mm) is the right choice. The FX fill adapter for DRS with Foster quick-fill fitting fits all DRS variants. For more scope elevation adjustment, there's the 30 MOA low Picatinny rail, CNC-machined and black anodized. Anyone wanting to retrofit the DRS Classic tactically can reach for the Saber Tactical DRS stock (bronze or grey, suitable only for Classic models). For maintenance and performance tuning, there's the spare parts kit for DRS Tactical with high-performance plenum, pressure gauge, inlet cylinder, and hammer adjuster – note: installation may trigger a firearms permit requirement in Germany.

Frequently Asked Questions About the FX DRS

What's the difference between Grade 1 and Grade 2 walnut stocks?

Grade 2 features noticeably rarer and more expressive wood grain and additionally includes an elegant rosewood forend tip, while Grade 1 shows a classic, more uniform grain pattern.

Does the Saber Tactical stock also fit the DRS Tactical?

No, the Saber Tactical DRS stock is designed exclusively for the DRS Classic models. The DRS Tactical instead uses a mil-spec buffer tube mount for AR15-compatible stocks.

Is there anything to note before first use of the DRS Saber Tactical?

Yes, on the Saber Tactical variant a transport lock screw (M4 grub screw) under the magazine well may need to be removed before first use. This requires briefly removing the Saber stock.

Is the DRS freely available in Germany?

Yes, all DRS models listed here are F-versions with a maximum muzzle energy of 7.5 joules and can therefore be purchased freely from the age of 18.
