AEA air rifles combine rugged pump-action or straight-pull repeater mechanisms with high magazine capacities, making them a great fit for ambitious sport shooters as well as hunting abroad. We carry three model lines: HPMax, Megalodon and Sonic.

AEA HPMax MK1 & MK2 – Straight-Pull Repeaters

The AEA HPMax (from €999) is a straight-pull repeater in .35 caliber (9mm) with an 8-shot magazine, 300 bar fill pressure and a cartridge that can be swapped under pressure. The F-version is capped at 7.5 joules; with the included export kit and the appropriate permit, up to 230 joules or semi-automatic operation is possible. AEA Megalodon MK1 & MK2 – Pump-Action with Dual Tank

The AEA Megalodon (from €1,499) is a pump-action air rifle in .50 rubber ball caliber with a 12-shot magazine. The MK2 adds a new 480 bar dual tank with regulator, an extra 300 bar tank and an extended silencer compared to the MK1. As with the HPMax, factory (F-version) output is 7.5 joules, and the export kit is included. More on both generations on the Megalodon MK1/MK2 model page.

AEA Sonic – Compact Bullpup in .30 Caliber

The AEA Sonic (€1,199) is a bullpup PCP air rifle in .30 caliber with a 480 bar high-pressure system, an adjustable regulator and a 9-shot magazine. With the export kit installed under permit, up to 180 joules is possible. Details and specs are on the Sonic model page.

For the HP MAX 1 and HP MAX MK2, the adjustable 11-to-21mm Picatinny rail (€149.99) with a built-in cant wheel retrofits the optics mount.

Frequently Asked Questions About AEA Air Rifles

What's the difference between the HPMax, Megalodon and Sonic?

The HPMax is a straight-pull repeater in .35 caliber, the Megalodon is a pump-action system in .50 caliber with an especially high magazine capacity, and the Sonic is a compact bullpup rifle in .30 caliber. All three are PCP systems with an optional export kit.

Can I just install the export kit myself?

Possessing the export kit is permit-free in Germany, but installing it requires the appropriate firearms permit. Without that permit, every AEA model in F-version stays capped at 7.5 joules.

Does every DonnyFL silencer fit every AEA model?

No, depending on the model and caliber you need the matching adapter with an M18x1 thread – check before buying that your model (HPMax, Megalodon or Challenger) and caliber match the silencer and adapter you're choosing.

What's the difference between MK1 and MK2 on the HPMax and Megalodon?

The MK2 versions bring technical upgrades such as larger high-pressure tanks with a regulator, extra backup tanks and refined silencers – the exact differences are on the respective model pages.
