Order the AEA Megalodon MK1 & MK2 Online
With the AEA Megalodon MK2 F-series (€1,499) we carry the direct successor to the popular MK1 model: a pump-action mechanism for fast strings of fire, a 12-shot magazine and .50 rubber ball caliber. In F-version, output is legally capped at under 7.5 joules. Weight approx. 5.4 kg, length approx. 112 cm.
MK2 Technology and Improvements
At the heart of the MK2 is a new 480 bar (7000 PSI) dual tank with a built-in regulator and shoulder stock, complemented by an additional 300 bar tank with shoulder stock included in the box. Two sturdy 12-shot metal magazines come standard. The redesigned front tank delivers more even pressure distribution and therefore more consistent shot performance, backed by an extended, powerful silencer that partially shrouds the barrel. The rifle runs on two compressed-air cartridges: the rear one (300/480 bar), which also forms part of the stock, can be swapped under pressure; the front one acts as a plenum for especially consistent shot release. Note: due to the size of the 12-shot magazine, an elevated Picatinny mount may be needed when using optics. Mounting rail: 22mm Picatinny.
Export Kit and Legal Notes
Included in the box is an export kit consisting of a modified card with a larger bore and an alternative tube insert for the rear cartridge. Possession is legal in Germany, but installation requires a permit. After the appropriate conversion – and while complying with legal requirements – significantly higher output can be reached; a video installation guide is available via QR code. In F-version, the card is secured with a breakaway screw.
Package contents: AEA Megalodon MK2 with 480 bar tank, 300 bar tank, 2 metal magazines, fill adapter, export kit, German manual.
Matching Accessories for the Megalodon
For fitting a silencer (M18x1 thread, also fits the AEA Challenger), we offer the DonnyFL Emperor V3 M18x1 for .45/.50 (€359) with an optional bolt-on 6.5-inch extender, plus the large-caliber DonnyFL Great Kami M18x1 for .45–.50 (€369) in a modular, take-apart design – suitable only for F-marked airguns. For longer sessions there's an extra air tank without regulator (€105) that unscrews safely under pressure (not suitable for the F-version). As a spare or extra magazine, the 10-shot CNC aluminum magazine (€89) is available.
Frequently Asked Questions About the AEA Megalodon
What's the advantage of the MK2 over the MK1?
The MK2 brings a new 480 bar dual tank with regulator, an additional 300 bar tank included in the box, an optimized front tank for more consistent output, an improved, extended silencer, and two metal magazines as standard.
Can I use the extra air tank on the F-version too?
No, the extra air tank without regulator is explicitly not suitable for the F-version – it's intended for users with a converted, permitted weapon operating beyond the 7.5-joule limit.
Do I need a permit to install the export kit?
Yes, possessing the export kit is legal in Germany, but installing it requires the appropriate firearms permit. Without that permit, the Megalodon MK2 stays capped at under 7.5 joules.
Do I need a special optics mount because of the large magazine?
Due to the size of the 12-shot magazine, using a scope may require an elevated Picatinny mount so the magazine doesn't collide with the optic while reloading.
