The AEA HPMax is one of AEA's most powerful straight-pull repeaters. We currently stock the HPMax MK2 (€999) in .35 caliber (9mm), diabolo, with an 8-shot magazine and a weight of about 3 kg. The system runs on a cartridge that can be swapped under pressure, a built-in pressure gauge, and a maximum fill pressure of 300 bar via the 11mm optics rail. In F-version, output is capped at 7.5 joules.

Export Kit and Power Upgrade

Included in the box is an export kit with a card system that allows conversion without losing pressure (secured from the factory with a safety screw and sticker, with a hand screw included). Abroad, or after conversion and registration by a gunsmith, up to 230 joules or semi-automatic operation is possible – optionally with a cartridge swappable under pressure without a regulator for semi-automatic operation at 60-130 joules, or with a cartridge without a regulator for full output up to 230 joules (this requires removing the semi-auto kit and converting the repeater system – function then matches the HPMax 1). Always check the legal requirements that apply in your country.

How powerful is the AEA HPMax MK2 out of the box?

In F-version, as we sell it in Germany, the HPMax MK2 is capped at 7.5 joules and can therefore be purchased permit-free from age 18. Only with the export kit installed and the appropriate firearms permit can higher outputs up to 230 joules or semi-automatic operation be reached.

Is installing the export kit legal in Germany?

Possessing the export kit is permit-free, but installing it requires the appropriate firearms permit, or abroad, compliance with local laws. Without that permit, the HPMax MK2 stays capped at 7.5 joules.

Is a scope included?

No, the HPMax MK2 ships without a scope or mount. Matching accessories, such as the adjustable Picatinny rail for the 11mm optics rail, are available right on this page.

Which silencer adapter do I need for the HPMax?

For the German version of the HPMax MK2, you need the DonnyFL AEA HPMax adapter with an M18x1 outer thread to fit standard silencers such as the DonnyFL Emperor V3.
