Daystate's Huntsman series, with its classic sporter look, slim design and a tradition tracing back to the company's founding, is one of the most iconic lines in the air rifle world. Often copied but never bettered, the Huntsman remains one of Daystate's best-selling models. With the side-lever Revere model and the Safari Edition for right- and left-handed shooters, the Huntsman has gotten even better – unlike the electronically regulated Alpha, Delta and Red Wolf, the Revere deliberately uses a purely mechanical system.
Safari Edition – Textured Grip for Field Use
The Safari Edition features Daystate's tactile, highly textured wood stock. It's ambidextrous and features a lower-slung action that has been a hallmark of the Huntsman design for years. The "high-grip" benefits of the textured Safari stock are reinforced by striped panels on the grip and forend and, combined with the natural camo look, offer perfect characteristics for field use. The rising and falling cheekpiece allows for perfect eye alignment with a wide variety of scopes, and the soft rubber-covered comb provides comfort in all conditions. The forend is shaped wider and flatter to also support shooters who prefer shooting from a bench.
Walnut, Right-Handed – Classic Looks
The walnut variant (right-handed) offers the same technology in classic wood styling. The Revere features an action optimized for use with a redesigned, self-indexing magazine system that provides an even greater payload in .177/4.5mm caliber. The Revere package also includes Daystate's latest single-shot adapter for anyone who doesn't rely on a magazine's fast reload function.
Shared Features
Both variants come with all the features that made the Huntsman the benchmark for PCP sporting rifles: a match-quality shrouded barrel, a two-stage adjustable trigger, and a sporter stock that houses a lower-slung action to optimize handling. The fill probe on the Huntsman uses a 1/8" quickfill fitting – if your pump, bottle or compressor uses a Foster quickfill fitting instead, you'll need a matching adapter.
